Blue Ridge Parkway in the Rain in the BRZ!
The signs say avoid the Parkway during ice, fog and snow. I have to admit to ignoring the part about the fog. I love driving on the parkway when it rains. The fog pretty much always comes with the rain, unless you are at a low altitude. It is awesome to watch the water pouring over the rocks, and pretty neat how the engineering was done on the road to be able to divert it all. Having said that, this was (I think) in June, when NC was getting all that rain, and shortly before the crack opened up in the parkway.
I love the parkway in the fog and rain. Everything gets misty and mysterious. You feel like you are driving along in a world out of high fantasy, like the Lord of the Rings or Warcraft. Crank up some Jethro Tull and that only enhances the feeling. (yes I am betraying my nerdishness)
