This is the mighty Subaru BRZ. It sounds better if you say it in a pompous British accent the way Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear would (Bee Ahh Zed).
For the price, it is the perfect car for the driving enthusiast. It follows the classic sports car formula – light, rear wheel drive, balanced weight distribution, low center of gravity. My favorite places to drive, as you will see here, are the twisty mountain roads in and around the Great Smoky Mountains. The BRZ is an amazing car for this purpose. There were other cars in this price range with more straight-line speed, but nothing handled like the BRZ (well, except the Scion FR-S/Toyota GT-86, but those are mostly the same thing…). Top Gear UK rated the BRZ very well! 9 out of 10!
Update: The Toyota version of the BRZ, the GT86, won Jeremy Clarkson’s 2012 Car of the Year! My choice has been validated by a celebrity! My life is complete…
